Last Monday, Gavin asked if he could plan FHE. A little surprised, but pleased I agreed. So, Gavin proceeded to plan the lesson (on families and our individual roles in a family using the Proclamation on the family), make assignments for the scripture, prayers, songs, activity (we wrote letters to someone in the family we loved. Most everyone chose to write to Grandma and Grandpa, but Liam opted to write heart-felt notes to Mom and Dad) and games (ever play Assassin? a favorite at our house!), and even asked if he could make cookies for dessert. Then he invited Owen to help in the cookie making process. Can you say, "Dream come True?" It was a wonderful evening with everyone getting along in an almost weird but magical way.
